Last December, Edward walked into a mitigation job without a respirator. He could smell the mold immediately — he is in it often enough to recognize it. He made the evaluation and went home. By that evening his throat was raw and his head was throbbing.
It lasted through the holidays. In March, at another house, the exact same thing happened. That was the moment it clicked: this was an environmental response.
On April 7th he was twelve houses from home when he wrecked his car. Two days in the hospital. Every test came back clean. “Mr. Carel, you’re healthy, everything’s fine.” It did not feel fine.
“It’s really easy to not listen to your body and just say I’ll push through for another day — until you don’t have another day to push through.”
Recovery has not been one thing. It has been a series of right moves, and a handful of local people who helped him make them. This month he is introducing all five of them — and asking a question most people never think to ask:

How each week runs: entries open Monday, close Friday at 11:59 p.m. CT, and the winner is announced Saturday. One entry per person covers every drawing — you do not need to come back and enter again.
Where winners are announced: Edward and Vivian draw each week’s winner. We message the winner directly first, then post the announcement on the Legacy Home Pro Facebook page and share it to our other social accounts — so that is where to watch.

The remaining weeks are announced as each partner is featured.
The campaign closes with one grand-prize drawing on Saturday, September 26, 2026, pulled from everyone who entered across the whole run.
